Artist Statement:
Years ago, in an effort to improve my writing skills, I began to cut out words and phrases that appealed to me. I have a folder full of these words, and now find that I sometimes name my artwork even before I create it. I have developed an appreciation for words, or small groups of words that clearly express a vision and evoke a strong sense of emotion.

When I dream, it is most often about color. I've always wished for a bedroom with a ceiling open to the stars.
